Opuwo Town Council Services

The Opuwo Town Council departments operate under the Local Authority Act No. 23 of 1992, as amended in 2000, and other relevant regulations. Each department plays a critical role in serving the community and fostering the development of Opuwo. The Administrative Head is the Chief Executive Officer, whom all departments report.

Infrastructure & Technical Services

The Technical Services Department reports to the Technical, Infrastructure, and Planning Manager and oversees various sections that maintain and improve municipal infrastructure and services.

Finance Department

The Finance Department handles all financial operations, including revenue collection and billing. Its responsibilities ensure that funds are collected efficiently and managed transparently to support Council services.

Human Resources

The HR department is tasked with recruiting qualified personnel, promoting employee development, and managing customer care. This department ensures the Council operates with skilled staff dedicated to serving the community.

Local Economic Development & Tourism

This department is focused on attracting investors and creating a conducive environment for local traders. It also manages the booking of public amenities, such as the Open Market and Sports Field.
